Tammy K. Jones, President of Basis Investment Group, LLC. was a panelist at the first ever Economic Summit sponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation and held at the Harvard Club of New York City. The Summit was specifically set up to discuss strategies and opportunities for expanding capital access for African Americans and minorities as it relates to the financial services sector, real estate equity investments/development and public policy. Joining Keynote Speakers such as Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, United Senator for New York, Rep. Charles Rangel, Dean, New York State Congressional Delegation and Co-Founder of the Congressional Black Caucus, Scott Stringer, Comptroller, New York City, and Governor Deval Patrick, former governor Massachusetts, Ms. Jones was one of three people chosen to sit on a panel entitled Venture Capital, Equity Accrual and Entrepreneurship, which was moderated by Gayle King, CBS News Anchor.
