Mission Statement

Basis Impact Group Foundation seeks to inspire the next generation of leaders in commercial real estate by exposing underrepresented youth to the career and wealth building opportunities that exist in the commercial real estate industry.

Through its partnership with Real Estate Executive Council (REEC) and numerous professional real estate organizations and institutions, the Foundation’s educational program helps hundreds of young people access the potential of this essential but often exclusive field.

History

When Tammy K. Jones, founded Basis Investment Group in 2009, she envisioned leveraging its platform to give back to communities in which the firm invests while uplifting underrepresented communities.

Today, that vision has become a reality through the formation of the Basis Impact Group ("BIG") Foundation.

Reex Jumpstart Summer Program

The Real Estate Exchange (REEX) program is an educational program that exposes thousands of underrepresented youths to the Commercial Real Estate industry and helps them find their way into a field that has historically excluded them.

We are proud to have partnered to expose 700+ students of underrepresented communities to Commercial Real Estate
Approximately 50% of students admitted to the program come from an under resourced household
Program alumni represent all 4 corners of the United States
