Executive Team

Mr. Cadigan joined Basis in 2009 and is a member of the firm’s senior management team. As Managing Director, Mr. Cadigan oversees the firm’s corporate governance and compliance functions, including supervision of legal matters, regulatory oversight, and the development and implementation of policies and procedures supporting transaction execution across the platform. He works closely with internal and external counsel in connection with credit facilities, joint ventures, and separate account agreements, helping to ensure alignment with the firm’s legal and regulatory framework. With over 20 years of experience across both the legal and business aspects of commercial real estate finance, Mr. Cadigan partners with senior leadership to identify and address key legal, regulatory, and strategic considerations impacting the firm and its investment activities. His role supports the firm’s disciplined approach to risk management while enabling continued growth across its investment strategies. Prior to joining Basis, Mr. Cadigan was a partner at North River Capital Partners, a private equity fund focused on commercial mortgage debt investments through loan origination and the acquisition of existing debt instruments. Before North River, he managed the transaction management team responsible for structuring fixed and floating rate loans at Dillon Read Capital Management LLC (DRCM), a hedge fund wholly owned by UBS. Earlier in his career, Mr. Cadigan worked with senior members of the Basis team at GMACCM. Mr. Cadigan received a JD from Seton Hall University School of Law and a BA from LaSalle University.
