Basis Investment Group Acquires B-Piece in $771.9M Wells Fargo Commercial Mortgage (WFCM) Trust CMBS Pool
New York, NY – January 27, 2026 – Basis Investment Group, LLC, (Basis), a national commercial real estate debt and equity investment platform founded by CEO Tammy K. Jones, has acquired the first-loss position (BB, B and Non-Rated Classes) known as “the B-Piece" in Wells Fargo Commercial Mortgage (WFCM) Trust 2025-5C7, a $771.9M CMBS pool. The pool is comprised ofloans contributed by Wells Fargo, JPMorgan, Zions Bank, Citi Bank, UBS, BenefitStreet Partners, Goldman Sachs, Societe Generale, as well as other capitalproviders and investment firms.
The diversified investment pool is comprised of 25 loans across 265 properties in multiple states ranging in asset type from multifamily (32.4%, 48.4% affordable units), retail (27.9),hospitality (9.8%), self-storage (9.2%), mixed-use (7.8%), industrial (7.1%),and office (5.8%). CW Capital Asset Management was appointed as special servicerfor the pool.
