Jones, has announced it has provided a $17M bridge loan to MURAL Real Estate Partners (MURAL), a minority- and woman-owned real estate investment, development, management, and leasing firm focused on underserved neighborhoods in emerging growth markets. The bridge loan will support MURAL’s acquisition of two retail shopping centers, Greenbriar Marketplace and Shoppes at Greenbriar, and will be used towards the repositioning of the asset into a mixed-use neighborhood consistent with the City of Atlanta's Greenbriar Master Plan. Currently ,Greenbriar Marketplace and Shoppes at Greenbriar encompass approximately 24acres and 71,610 square feet of retail space located off the Greenbriar Parkway in Southwest Atlanta. With funding assistance from Basis as well as $5M insubordinate loan investments from Invest Atlanta, demonstrating strong localgovernment support of the project, MURAL plans to transform the properties into a mixed-use neighborhood complete with 1,069 multifamily units, 150 of which will be designated affordable, and over 200,000 square feet of new retailspace.
